I have a Mod 99 EG I picked up at a gun show a few years back, that have sling swivels installed. Factory or not I do not know, but they are fixed, not quick detatch types. Somewhere along the line, someone had replaced the front swivel mounting screw with one that is not proper, it is a silver Phillps head screw, and while fit and function is fine, I would like to replace it with a flat head, blued, slot head screw that matches one in the buttstock.
Any ideas where I might find one what to ask for?

No EG's except the "Spiegel" EG's with engraving came from the factory with sling swivels.
Any chance you can post a pic of the piece?

Your best bet is to pull that screw, determine thread size, and track down a blued steel version. Depending on who made them, the thread size could be about anything.

I will take it over to a nearby gun/ machine shop. He does mostly AR and suppressor type stuff, but might be able to match something close, and cut the head down to match fairly close.
