I like the Heritage style and the extra weight of laminated wood might help tame the recoil a bit.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'd like to go with a Claro if at all possible, but finding drop in walnut stocks for this gun seems quite unlikely.

Boyds offers walnut stocks and has some grade upgrades IIRC. They offer laser checkering too, but it looks kind of dark to me. You may like it. The base prices are good, but extras add up pretty quick. With a .375 you're gonna want crossbolts and glass at stress points I would think, another reason to consider fiberglass.
Is the original hopeless? Whitworths were pretty nice right out of the box as I recall.
What fresh Hell is this?

No personal experience but I was looking for a stock for my Interarms mark x and found Mc millan makes them. It appears you can get a variaty of walnut stocks and grades from Richards Microfit. I havent recieved my rifle yet so I havent made a move on getting a stock. I am not even sure if I want a wood or synthetic.

It's kind of interesting as I've never seen a Whitworth with this stock before. All I've seen have the Zastava walnut. I just don't know enough about the Interarms that were finished in England to know what stocks they put on them.

My last .375 was an Interarms Whiteorth. It came with a nice piece of walnut. A little polishing of the internals produced a very nice rifle. Not quite a Model 70 or Browning Safari, but plenty good enough.
Some people do not like the .375 in a standard Mauser action (Browning included) because there has to be a little of the receiver ring milled away to accommodate the long magazine box. I never saw that as a problem, nor heard of anyone that actually did. Theory only in my opinion.
