I would like to purchase a nice 1" leather rifle sling. The reason I want a nice used one is that I don't want the sling on a 1970s vintage rifle that I just bought to look new. I don't want a padded or a cobra style one unless it is the Uncle Mike's western stitched one, which I would love to find used and in tan color. I would prefer a simple 1" strap style with the swivels already on it that is in nice,usable shape. Help me out guys, what have ya got?? Mike

Check with your local pawn shops and gun stores ...they usually have boxes full....I found a really cool one one time that was well broke in with cracks and oil stains the works....could be buffalo it was very old...think I paid 3 dollars...it was predict for my Newton...

Been looking for a while at gun shows etc. Found one recently here that was perfect. Seeing several offered made realize that i could definitely use another one. The old ones are just right for the pre 64 Winchesters. Please let me know if you have one.

The older ones just look right on an older gun. I wanted this one for a very nice late 70s Remington 788
