America needs to understand that our troops are not 'disposable'. Each represents a family; Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts... Our Citizens are our most valuable treasure; we waste far too many.

Good luck. Nebraska's concealed carry is for handguns only, and there's no real hope of changing that unless a bunch of other states do it first. So I'm cheering for ya. Virgina's neighbors in Kentucky issue a CDW (concealed deadly weapons) permit, which is not limited to handguns.

Maybe it'll spread to Maryland. There is absolutely no hope for Maryland on any front. Too far gone IMHO.

Ha Ha, good luck with that one!
While I agree that stuff should be legal, I think it's pretty unlikely anyone in the legislature is going to introduce or sponsor a bill to legalize it again. I can see the headlines now," Governor McAwful Vetoes Republican Brass Knuckle Restoration Act".
Well, you'd be wrong. Is there a bill under construction yet? This sounds like something that should be tacked on to the "Apple Pie and Mom Appreciation Act", or something of the sort. While they're at it, they should dump that pesky 20 round limitation so the boys can carry their PMRs. Good luck and keep us posted.
What fresh Hell is this?

Not sure even God could help MD at this point. Nope. The "Free State" is a goner. That's why I'm here.

these things get complicated, and no one knows in advance how it will work out. Florida has a Concealed Weapon permit. That should have solved all issues, BUT, they then passed a law that says State Law on guns supersedes all local laws. BUT they did NOT say that same thought covers all WEAPONS. So Miami-Dade county, among others, has passed anti knife laws, like banning your garden variety automatic knife, which is legal under STATE law. We are working on it, but it's a struggle.

Update - the bill(s) are picking up sponsors. The General Assembly session is a short one this year (between budget years), and the bills will have an uphill climb, but they are in the works.

The Senate Bill has been introduced! Virginians, get on the horn to your Delegates and Senators to get their support behind this bill. http://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/legp604.exe?171+sum+SB1347SB 1347 Concealed weapon permits; concealed weapons other than firearms; furnishing weapons to minors.Introduced by: Bryce E. Reeves SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED: Concealed weapon permits; concealed weapons other than firearms; furnishing certain weapons to minors; furnishing certain weapons. Replaces concealed handgun permits with concealed weapon permits, which authorize the holder to carry any weapon that is otherwise prohibited from being carried concealed, including handguns. The bill prohibits the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) from adopting a regulation preventing a person employed by an electronic security company or a locksmith from carrying a lawfully possessed weapon in the course of his duties when such person carries with him a valid concealed weapon permit. Current law prohibits DCJS from preventing such persons from carrying a firearm. The bill exempts any person who is carrying a nun chuck, throwing star, or weapon of like kind from the prohibition on carrying a concealed weapon while at, or going to or from, a martial arts training location or organized competition that uses such weapons. The bill increases the penalty for furnishing a ballistic knife to a minor from a Class 4 misdemeanor to a Class 1 misdemeanor and decriminalizes furnishing such weapon to an adult. The bill changes from any person to any minor the persons for whom it is a Class 4 misdemeanor to furnish with any blackjack, brass or metal knucks, throwing star, or weapon of like kind. The bill removes the presumption that possession of any such weapon is prima facie evidence of a person's intent to furnish it.
