Hi guys,
Has anyone ordered a stock from this company, what was your experience?
I ordered a claro grade A fancy. The gal said it will have 10% figure. This is a bit of a gamble as I don't really know what to expect. She said I should have it in 8 week.

The one XXX fancy grade I got was beautiful but not being a patient and talented stock guy I sold it. There was a lot of material that needed to be removed and I got bored.lol

My experience was awful. If you do much searching you will find accounts of others whose experience was also awful. Short version is I had a several months wait to get a stock with inletting so off I had to re-drill the action screw holes and hog out the rest so rebuild it all with Acra-glass.
The exterior shape was alright after I sanded the chainsawed looking exterior down. The rifle would regularly put three touching with handloads after the restocking, but it did that with the original walnut stock, too.

They're pretty rough compared to what I used to get from Bishop years ago.

I have purchased three blanks from them. the first was in 1984, the stock arrived as advertised and in a timely manner. It required lots of work which is what I expected.
The second was in 1996 and it arrived on time and was what I expected, again a nice blank.
The third was a few years ago and it was a disaster. The wood was wrong, the delivery time was extremely long as in 7 months.
Like a fool I attempted to order a couple more blanks that same year and after a six month wait canceled them both.
My take is they used to be a good and reputable company, now not so much.
Oh and the customer service was horrible, talking to them was a waste of time.

My experience was terrible. It was just short of a 2X4.

i bought a rmf thumbhole wildcat laminated stock for my savage model 12 in 2003-4 . came rough on the outside as i was told and 90% inletted. it took just a few minutes to finish the inletting with a dremel. took me most of a day trimming and sanding to get it ready to finish.put about 40 coats of trueoil on it. i was pleased with what i got. first groups with that gun unbedded were 3/8 at 100 yards. i never took it back off to bed it. i'm still shooting it with no problems.
