call it a matter of perspective but if a guy with a knife entered my apartment/house yelling alluh akbar it'd be a major thing to me...but that was someone else's place and it was last week.
Hard to say when something major will happen...what's major anyway?

Maybe never.
My teacher told us about gradualism. They will take away our rights so slowly that it would not seem worth dying for and eventually everything is gone. this is what concerns me most
if a man speaks, and there isn't a woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

I find it hard to admit defeat just yet...only 3% of the Colonists participated in the American Revolution, while the other 97% sit on their hands, waiting to see who won. Our odds ain't quite that bad yet......... i get your point, but some of the colonist actively opposed the formation of a new nation. i have no doubt there will be plenty who will side with/for the status quo, (for lack of wanting to use another term)
