If you want to save Chicago the first step would be to take it out of the hands of the Democrats and then make anyone using a weapon, gun , knife, etc serve a five year mandatory sentence to prison with no plea bargaining or parole How about 30 years in federal prison for abusing the 2nd amendment on top of the state punishment for the underlying crime? Add to that 3 strikes and your out so repeat criminals are removed from society permanently.

There have been 500 shootings in Chicago in 2016. None of the shooters were NRA members; more than 70% of the shooters are Democrats. Mostly, Democrats shooting other Democrats. The problem is obvious.
