Awesome hunt in Wyoming once again! I think antelope has turned into my favorite animal to hunt. I just got the 6.5 CM from my gunsmith less than 3 weeks before I left for my hunt so I did some quick load development and rolled with it.

258 yards was a chip shot with this rifle!
Berger 130 VLD-H did the trick.
Can't wait to go back.

Super Creed/speed goat.

Bet he'll go in the 80's.

I missed one about that good in the Kiowa Grasslands of NM.

But, that was before I got my Creed.

All I had at the time was an HS Precision .240 Wby... blush

laugh

How did the 130 VLD H expand, perform?

After I shot, I quickly found him again through the scope. He stood only for a few seconds before collapsing but the blood pouring out of him was unreal! Heart shot him so that's about what you would expect. Dime going in and a quarter coming out. Was hoping to recover the bullet but I wasn't really counting on it since they're not a real big animal anyways.

Sure do!! We have some really great antelope hunting, the only problem is even as a resident it takes around 12 or 13+ preference points to draw a decent tag. The better units take 15+ points so it can be a long wait between hunts. I feed my addiction though by going to Wyoming!!
