Yeah, elkhunter, that's a mean thing to do to guy who's been in the woods for a week.
As proof that there is a God, and that she has a sense of humor, I offer this. Sometime this morning while I was watching my canyon from my spot, two deer crossed sidehill behind me, between me and camp. Tracks in the snow.
I'm not very far down the hill.

Was up in the sage flats up there above camp seeing if I could find them. I suspect it was a mama and a youngin' but youngin's have backstraps too.......
I'm choosing to take it as a good sign- deer are moving through.
To elkhunter's "point". Was telling the wife last night that I missed her sweet, warm...... companionship.... and she says, what are you complaining about? You've got two hands, that's a threesom!
Middle aged women are so damn PRACTICAL about this stuff.
