Anybody tried this combo with the new Enduron IMR 4451? I haven't found any data for it.

ruffcutt -

Sorry but I've not tried 4451 yet but with 165s I've had very good performance from IMR 4350. In more than 1 300 WM I'm getting 3300 fps and excellent accuracy.

From reading here on the fire, 4451 is not that different from 4350. Depending on responses you get in this thread you might want to pose this question under Ask the Gunwriters.

If it were me, I'd start with low charge weight for IMR 4350 - only with 4451 - and work up. I'd expect "similar" performance.

Good Luck

Jerry

ruffcutt,

TSX's produce less pressure than most other bullets. I certainly wouldn't worry about using Hodgdon's IMR4451 data for the 165 Speer with the 165 TSX. In fact you may find velocities a little lower, indicating power pressure.

Sooo, would it be ok to load over the max given for the 165 Speer until you get to roughly the same velocity....

Do or do not, there is no try.
