BE STRONG IN THE LORD, AND IN HIS MIGHTY POWER. ~ Ephesians 6:10
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. --Winston Churchill

Had the opportunity to shoot a 300 WM Encore earlier this year. Pretty impressive accuracy at 100 yards and a nice package to carry around in the woods.

Sorry Rug3, I knew I was forgetting something.
All barrels were built by "barrel stubbing", which is why the larger diameter barrels.
The first gun pictured with the bench rest bi-pod, is chambered in 338 White Express. This cartridge is based on the full length 9.3X74R necked down to .338 caliber with minimum body taper and a 40 degree shoulder angle.
The shorter fluted barrel with muzzle brake is a 30X357 Maximum.
Next in line is a tight chambered 30-06.
Next is a 357 Maximum.
Last but not least is the John Deere stocked rifle. This gun is chambered in the 6mmX444 Improved.
Any other questions, just ask.

The shorter fluted barrel with muzzle brake is a 30X357 Maximum. I assume this one is for hunting. I like to ask if you plan or suggest hearing protection when hunting with a brake? I have avoided a brake or porting on any gun I might carry in the field. I been researching the x frame smiths in 500 mag and read more than one comment about potential, serious, permanent hearing damage from just one time shooting of (perhaps)a bear without hearing protection. All factory 500 mags have brakes. That is a deal breaker for me.

Yes, hearing protection is worn and suggested that all shooters wear it, when shooting a gun with a muzzle brake.

So, what's the whole purpose of barrel stubbing?
By the way, in case you missed it, Jeremiah was a bullfrog.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all my gear for what I said I paid for it.
