Pennsylvania House Bill 263 was signed yesterday, which would allow semi-automatic rifles to be used for hunting in Pennsylvania. It seems that the legislation leaves the details up to the PA Game Commission as to how the law will be implemented. Hopefully, the PGC will not screw it up. Link: NRA-ILA - PA House Bill 263

That's the death of the Remington 7600 line.

I won't be surprised if the forthcoming PGC regulations limit the use of semi-autos to varmints and maybe predators.
My guess is that they will exclude them from use on big game (i.e. elk, deer, bear and turkeys). I hope I'm wrong.

It'll get to big game eventually, I think. But it'll take a good long while. It's PA. Things change on a geologic time table.

Currently, you can't even hunt coyotes there with an AR15.
Stupid laws.

That's the death of the Remington 7600 line. I think it's in it's death throes now. Looks like only .270's and .30-06's still being made at this point.

Hopefully now I will be able to use my Benelli Super Black Eagle dedicated slug gun in a rifle zone if I want.
Under the current regs it is legal in shotgun only zones. One of those weird quirks of the law.

It is amazing that semi autos are not allowed. I am actually not a fan of them, except AR15s for coyotes, but if people want to hunt with a semi auto 308 or 30-06 or other appropriate caliber, whats the big deal. And no hunting on Sundays, come on man!

honestly here's what I see atleast at first
semis will be legal for small game, rim fires only
then it will go to being legal for fur bearers
but as far as big game. it's going to be a long long time

Swell. Can't wait for more AR guys with muzzle breaks sitting next to me at the club gun range trying to turn the barrel orange.

That's the death of the Remington 7600 line. Maybe then I can find a 35 Rem pump on Gunbroker at a decent price.
