Alagator:
Excellent pics! Would it be OK for me to add that first one to a PowerPoint presentation I use in our Hunter Ed classes?

Alagator: I grew up Hunting Blacktails in western Washington and your outstanding photos bring back many memories of my early days.
Though seldom do I remember such "dry" days during the Hunting season there in western Washington.
Thanks for posting and sharing your wonderful pictures.

Varmintguy--those pics were taken in sunny weather breaks. We are getting our fair share of rain, fog, and drizzle here in the Umpqua Valley. Nor nearly as much as the coast, but still plenty. It does get dry as a chip here for 4 or 5 summer months, but right now everything is wet and wonderful.

This one has good genes. He'll be great in the next three years.
