I'm trying to help my nephew understand the options available under the VW diesel buyback settlement provisions. Any members involved in the process? And are there any internet forums of affected VW diesel owners? Thanks.

I personally applaud VW for thumbing their nose at the EPA....
just sad someone blew the whistle on them...
from what I hear tho, the replacement cars offered don't get that less fuel mileage...

No. But I'd be inclined to buy one of those cars. Not under California's regulations here, so I'd be happy with the mileage. Personally thought it was a great idea too.

My brother's neighbor did this. He was given $7000.00 over book price for a car that got over 50 mpg and now he has a replacement one that gets somewhere over 20mpg.
