I hunted this morning and didn't see anything went back in the woods at 1600 and around 1630 saw this eight point buck come out about 150 yards to my grunting and started down the fence line toward my call. I had the shooting sticks setup and my wrist resting on them with my Freedom Arms 454 hammer back and ready the buck came up the hill and stopped at around 30 yards and turned to face me looking for the buck who was grunting. I centered the sight on the center of his chest and the 300 hr XTP just set him back on his ass and he just tumbled over backward and never even kicked, he was down for the count. Freedom Arms 454 Casull, 300 GR Hornady XTP Mag, Max Load of Lil'Gun.
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

Hell of a job Bea, that buck is still young enough for some great eating!
I enjoy the hell out of connecting with game using a handgun, just as much satisfaction as bow hunting to me.

Nicely done. I can't hit the broad side of a barn from the inside with a handgun. LOL

Nice buck Bob. You have a good year putting meat in the freezer.

My next pistol deer is going to be 10mm, and then 380acp.

Very nice! I've gotten the chance to shoot a Casull once and it was out of a Freedom Arms. Very surprised how nice it was to shoot!

Every deer I shoot with a handgun is a trophy, but I've never used open sights! That Casull is like the hammer of Thor - I shot one in my Encore for quite a few years and have since switched to a .357 Max. Beautiful deer!!!

Very nice.
I bought a Ruger 45 BH a bit ago for deer, but haven't had a chance with it yet.
