R26 is great in the 280AI and the 6.5x55. Be very cautious with quickload data the BA is for R25 which is too slow for 06 size and smaller cases. I would feed in the Alliant 270 data and see if that changes the BA.

My rifle the charges ended up about the same or one more grain than the R22 loads. With 140s in the 280 AI I ran up to 66grains with no pressure signs but dropped back a grain or 2 depending on bullet for around 3200 fps.

RL26 worked good in my 257 Roberts with bullets heavier
than 110gr. Works good in 270 Winchester with bullets
140gr or more. 7MM Mag I only shoot 160gr Accubonds about
the same as Norma MRP,Retumbo, and the RL26. RL23 worked
best in my 257 Roberts. You may be able to get more FPS
from the RL26 in you push it than I have.

Muledeer, I live in Missoula. Sportsman Warehouse, Bob Wards, Cabelas, Selway Armory, nothing. I may just order some on line and pay the hazmat fee

I'm interested in RE26 max loads with 6mm (100+ grain), 25-06 (115 grain), 7mm RM (175 grain), and 300 WM (200-220 grain).

Check the Alliant site click on R26 and all loads. Info on 243 which will get you started on the 6mm. The 25-06, 7RM and 300 have listed loads so you may carefully extrapolate that info for the bullets your using.

In my experience stay closer to R22 data than R25 if no tested loads exist. But in the 270 WSM R26 was almost the same as R25 in charge weight. I am not sure if this holds true with other magnum sized cases or not.

aceman2101, there is a guy here in Billings selling an 8 pound keg for $120. If you want me to try to get it, let me know. I will be meeting a friend from Missoula the weekend of the 5th and 6th and could have him take it to Missoula with him.

257 Roberts
RL26 48.5gr 115N Partition WLRM primer Win case model 70
Winchester 3130Fps SD 8.9

270 Winchester
RL26 60.6gr 150gr N Partition WLRM primer Win case 3.340
OAL Vanguard S2 3071Fps SD25.7

7MM Magnum
RL26 68.5gr 160gr Accubond WLRM primer Winchester case 3.315
OAL Vanguard S2 3106Fps SD15.4

I,m still working with RL26 in all 3 calibers, but right
now several other powders are more accurate. Such as Norma
MRP in the 7MM mag, and the 270 Winchester. Several other
powders work just as well in the 257 Roberts, such as
RL22, Norma MRP, RL23, and RL17.
