When W-W changed their primers from the nickel plated to the plain brass, the latter were slightly smaller. I experienced that then. I've saved some of the nickel plated ones and when experiencing "easy" priming I've switched to the older supply.

As far as brass is concerned I've had bad lots from all of them the worst having been Norma in 300WSM. I don't think one brand of domestic is any better or worse than any other. It's a roll of the dice except for the foreign stuff and the old Norma for the older cartridges. I think they've outsourced their recent brass in newer cartridges and that's where I got my bad brass.

I also had some undersize WLR primers. Quit them after that. Now use fed almost exclusively.

In Benchrest shooting, everybody uses Fed Match primers. That's where I got hooked on them.
They're all I use, Large and Small Match, for everything, including my 7 mm Mag.

Definately the brass. Both the 210's and 200's have the same basic result. Now, do I order more Winchester brass, or try R-P?

If it's worth it to you, call Olin and advise them of the defect. They'll likely replace, they've been known to do that.

As for Rem or WW, it's a roll of the dice. I'd try WW again, what are the chances of being bitten twice? And you could end up with other problems with any of them. I use them all and I haven't had a bad lot in any in about 3 years. I've had completely satisfactory results with both Hornady and their old "Frontier" brand, and with Nosler. For a few pennies more I'd go Nosler to eliminate the guess work if it's available, then you'd likely eliminate all problems, THIS TIME!

Had a problem back in july-august or so with some WW .308 cases I got new from Midway. loose primer pockets. Scrapped em...now use FC for one .308 and RP for the other.

FC primers all the way too....

And I like Burris & Savage.!
