Just got my barreled action back from LRI yesterday, extremely pleased with the work and the overall experience, it was a 5 week turnaround.

Sent them:
Rem. 700 SS SA
Proof .264 24" Sendero Light
NightForce 20MOA Base

Had them do the Tier 1 Accurizing package on the action, install tac knob, flute the bolt, thread the muzzle, fit the barrel for ELD-X,and Cerakote McMillan Olive.

Have Burris XTR ii 5-25, NF Ultra Light Rings and M5 bottom metal for it, just waiting on the custom inletted McMillan Game Warden w/Adjustable cheek to come in.

Sounds like a peach! Would be great for a pronghorn hunt...hint.

Where do you plan on stretching its legs out at? The range at Bass N Bucks goes to 750 and is only $15 for the day. If you need a spotter or want a tag a long let me know.

I got a buddy out by Ladoga that has a nice range, it goes out to 500yds on his property then his neighbors has a grass lane landing strips that can be stretched out to 1k plus.. He's the one that got me into this as I did some 1k shooting last time out there and had a hoot.

If it shoots like it looks, you've got a winner.

its a long story on how I ended up with a 6.5 but I want to build the same gun in 6mm/243 so I can hunt with it in Indiana.

My buddy has a machine shop and he just started tinkering with reaming barrels (he bought a 6.5CM PTG reamer) and I was initially going to have him do mine, but after buying a proof I didn't want to have him practicing on it. So I sent it to LRI and during the whole process I had a lot of fun sourcing the pieces and putting it all together.

So if it sells I'll do it again and if it doesn't I have a really sweet gun to punch paper with and hopefully one day take on a mule deer hunt or something out west.
