rocephin shot in your butt!
Go to your Dr and get a shot, or whatever he says. My wife and I had that crud (mine started the day before we went on vacation). I ended up spending 3 nights in the hospital. Mine turned into pneumonia.

Still feel like I was hit by a train. Headache, fatigue, clear drainage, sore throats and cough. Always seems to hit around the holidays. Sucks! I had that the week before Christmas. Sucks. Still congested from it. Hang in there.

Still drainage all day with an occasional headache thrown in. The cough is strong! What is this crap?? Get a blood test for Pertussis (Whooping Cough). I spent 8 weeks fighting it. Multiple trips to Primary Care. One trip to ER. Two nasal/sinus swabs for Pertussis were both negative. Finally went to an Infectious Disease Specialist. Drew 16 vials of blood over two trips. Finally came back Positive for Pertussis. Doxycyclene (sp?) was the third course of antibiotics that finally got me over the hump... Lost almost 4 weeks of work over the 8 week period (self employed). Absolute worst I have felt in 59 years, bar none...

Mine turned into pneumonia. Say what!!!! That's my concern with this one. It's still not moving on and now that my 80 year old parents both have it (probably thanks to me) I am really worried.

I got it too. The good news is this one goes from the lungs/throat and upwards.
Definitely not the flu. ............... +1

Still drainage all day with an occasional headache thrown in. The cough is strong! What is this crap?? May be an allergic reaction to something. I have the exact same symptoms along with sore throat and itchy eyes from cedar pollen, ragweed and mold. It can turn into a cold real easy. The cedar pollen count is always high around here this time of the year (I live in a town called Cedar Park). A lot of people also have elevated temperature from the cedar pollen. We just call it "Cedar Fever" and tough it out until the pollen count goes back down.
