Hi does anybody have a new Remington model seven SS that came out in 2015. Any issues? I am thinking about trading off my rem mountain LSS but need some feedback. Thanks

Other than the 1-8" ROT, what advantage do you see in the Seven platform over the 700 LSS-MR?

More compact than 700... I feel that 700 is a bit too large for me especially when i am wearing a heavy hunting coat and walking in the woods. Thanks

I have one in 223. Really like it, as it's a great carrying rifle. My biggest gripe was with the trigger, as it would not adjust to where I wanted it. A Timney took care of that.

James what does yours weigh. What scope and what accuracy are you getting. Thanks

My rifle with a Burris 3X9, one piece steel Redifeld base and rings, sling, 5 rounds of ammo in rifle and 9 more in ammo holder on stock, weighs 7 1/2 pounds. Accuracy has been good, I've shot it out to 300 yards, using a target with a coyote on it, and have no trouble putting every shot into the "kill" zone. At 100 yards, 60 grain Sierra SP's shot around an inch or less, depending on me.

Bought two this year, a .223 and a .243. No problems at all. Going to order a 260 next month.

I'm interested in your 700 if you consider selling instead of trading it

What are you all using for scope mounts on the M7?

I have one with Warne bases and rings, all steel. Another with a one piece Redfield base, and Redfield rings, again all steel.

Talley LW. Didn't even lap the rings for the 223 and only had to make a four click elevation adjustment on a new VX-2 2-7 to sight in.
