While speaking, he touted the fact that "no foreign terrorist organization has successfully planned and executed an attack on our homeland these past eight years."
In response, people immediately pushed back against this statement on Twitter, mentioning attacks at Fort Hood, Texas, in San Bernardino, Orlando and Boston.

Gunman in custody
A gunman opened fire Friday afternoon at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida, shooting at least nine people and killing three of them, Broward County officials said.
A gunman was in custody, local law enforcement sources told NBC News.
It wasn't immediately clear whether the shooting occurred inside an airport terminal. Passengers and workers were evacuated onto a tarmac.

Reports are saying 3 dead. It happened in the baggage claim area. You can walk right in off of the street there. I was in there 3 weeks ago.

Fox has someone live on the phone. All were told to get on the ground and more shots fired.
Apparently the caller was right beside 3 who were shot.
