My Uncle gave me one of these for my first deer rifle, minus the receiver sight.
Same ballistics as a 30-30 except You can use pointy bullets.
If You remove the forearm there is a lever on the receiver that allows You to separate the barrel & receiver ===> Takedown.
a neat Classic.

Triple, I got this from an estate, so the previous owner cannot comment. I can test fire next week if need be. Nice that the brass is available once again.

Killed my first coyote with one 55years ago.It belonged to the bank in my home town it was bought in the early 30's for robbery protection when Bonnie & Clyde and other gangs were working Okla & Ks.Made the mistake of reminding them i had it.It's still in town but owner won't turn loose of it.

Had a question about whether the receiver had been tapped for a scope. It has not. It is pristine for a 102-year-old hunting rifle.

Good! Nice to see a good one still around. I've got one in 35 Rem that'll shoot homey-cast swc's like a rifle. Don't take one apart just for grins-you won't be grinning when you get it back together! Congrats to buyer and seller. Tom

Congrats to buyer and seller. Tom Tom, I've had the take-down feature on mine apart several times... no problem. But I assume You mean the barrel jacket, which I have heard is a nightmare to get back together. My amatuerish-tinkering 13 year self tried to get it apart but it Fortunately would not budge. Jerry

Jerry- I was referring to the receiver. Once I got it back together I decided not to tackle the barrel\shroud assembly... even monkeys are trainable! Tom
