I'm personally using a holographic EOTech 512.A65. It is supposed to be one of the best scopes for AR15, though I wouldn't say it's really the best of the best. Merely a decent scope. I heard some people have trouble mounting it, so there's that issue to consider as well. Not that I experienced it myself.

Leupold VX-R 2-7x33 with Firedot 4 reticle. Mine has A2 stock, 20" barrel and is used for hunting varmints.
Don't roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

My favorite is a 2.5-10 power. 2.5x is low enough for close range and 10x plenty for the longer ranges. I use it for run n gun matches and for hunting along with target shooting out to 800 yards.
2.5-10x44 Vortex Viper PST
Ive got a 4-16x50 Vortex HSLR FFP on my 6.8 for deer hunting and a Viper 6.5-20x44 on my 20" F-class/Coyote hunting rifle..

I never thought I would own an AR. I bought one cause I thought they were gonna be banned. The little SOB's are a ton of fun. I shoot the 62 Barnes. I haven't shot a deer, but it will punch through a 200 lb pig shoulders at 225 yards.

Are those scopes pictured above attached to both the upper receiver and hand guard rail? Most would say that is not the best option.
