I just packed the slow cooker up w/ this concotion...
2 packages of cubed deer steaks, soaded overnight in real buttermilk and dredged in flour (blk peper, kosher salt, hungarian paprika) quick seared in bacon grease.
in the slow cooker 2 carrots one potato and one GA onion.
meat ontop of veggies then gravy the pan w/ a little water and add a can of cambellls golden mushroom soup and dump ontop of meat. i figure 6-7 hours should do it.

Sounds like a nice stew... But Swiss Steak is a way different concoction from that.

Swiss Steak needs tomato, onion and shredded carrot.

The browning ahead of the crock pot is a step too many leave out and the results show, IMO.

Why don't we back off Cohiba and give him a chance? His posts today have come a long way from where he started and he deserves at least another shot, no?

It is a little known but true fact that during the camp out scenes of Brokeback Mountain the meal that was cooking was Swish steak.

Hiba not aimed at you by any means. Repeat NOT. Aimed at the movie and the theme thereof.
