Does anyone make a drop in left hand trigger with safety and bolt release?

Thanks

Terry,
Shilen does offer their hunting triggers with safety and bolt release. Catalog does not say LH or RH.

OK, I think I've got it figured out. My left handed nephew asked me to put a trigger in his 700 and I had suggested a Shilen but told him to call before ordering. He called and they told him they only carried a right hand drop in but it could be made to work with his left hand factory trigger hardware. He ordered the "no safety" model thinking that's what he needed since he was going to use his hardware. We'll it doesn't work that way. The "no safety" model is missing a few needed holes. I put it all back together and sent him after a right hand drop in W/ safety and we'll convert it to left hand when he gets it.

If he is thinking the RH lever will work,it won't! You are going to need one from a LH.

But couldn't all the Remington factory left hand safety parts be removed from the factory trigger and installed on the right hand Shilen model with safety and bolt release?

He bought the "no safety, no bolt release model" from Shilen thinking he could do just that but that model is missing some of the cuts and holes needed to swap the parts. You couldn't even add a right hand safety to that model.

I want to help him out but being right handed I've never had to deal with this before. We've looked around and nobody makes a left hand aftermarket Remington 700 trigger that's drop in ready.

How about using the Jewell with a bottom safety, I had one on a 700 and I found it handier than the side safety.

I don't recall if it had a bolt release or not but even if it didn't one could always use the Rem 600 trick of inserting a small screwdriver or knifeblade into the receiver and pushing down the bolt release while retracting the bolt.

I guess I misunderstood your comment. If he gets the Shilen, the correct one that will accept a LH safety you should be able to convert it. If you run into trouble, give me a call.

I'm not sure where you're looking, but left hand drop in remington M700 triggers with the safety and bolt release in the factory positions are easily found. I don't understand why you'd want to re-engineer the safety and bolt stop when you can just buy the trigger ready to go.

Several years ago I had a timney put on my rem700 lefty. Goodness gracious did it make a difference. Not sure of the trigger model.
