A woman accused of shoving “her bloody maxi-pad” into a pro-life protester’s mouth near a Planned Parenthood clinic in Oregon has been arrested after she turned herself in to police. She faces charges of harassment on one count.
According to the local police, an organized protest was held outside Planned Parenthood in Ashland, Oregon on January 27. During the protest, a woman, who was identified as 21-year-old Valerie Starushok, approached a protester and “struck him in the face with a wet sanitary napkin.” The woman then ran off towards the rear of the building.
A video of the incident has been captured by the protesters and shared on YouTube. The footage shows Starushok coming towards the protester while he was arguing with another man. The protester claimed the woman caught him off-guard and “shoved her bloody maxi pad into my mouth” and yelled profanities, KOBI5.com reports.
“Eat this f****** pad, you (inaudible),” the woman is heard shouting in the video as she allegedly shoves the wet sanitary napkin into the protester’s mouth.
“I think I’m actually gonna have to call the police,” the man said. “She just shoved a dirty, bloody tampon in my face.”
On January 30, it was reported that the woman turned herself in to police. Ashland Police said she is cooperating with the authorities. Starushok will be lodged into the Jackson Country Jail on one count of harassment.

That was my take as well. WTF. Assault at the least...unless it was a count of sexual harassment (due to involving forcibly putting bodily fluids into an unwilling victim) and she ends up having to register. But that is doubtful.
Pretty weak charge for doing something that nasty. Wonder what I'd be charged with if I dumped a bucket o' pizz on a crowd of protesters? Hate Crime?

The victim has the right to and should request source person testing. In any assault that exposes the victim to the body fluids of the attacker, the victim can go to a judge and make the request for testing the attacker for AIDS and Hep C. It's rare for a judge to turn down a request. I hope he immediately sought medical care to begin the blood and body fluid exposure screening. That will protect him legally down the road if she does in fact have and any blood borne diseases

Wonder what the charge would have been had she shoved a bloody pad into a cop's mouth?
I'd guess the charges would either be $500K if she got tazed, for suppression of free speech or $4.5M for wrongful death if she ended up getting a cap in her ass.
