I've been loading some shotshells in Speer capsules for my handgun. I have #8 and 9 shot, but have read that people have used #12 with good effect at maybe 10 feet.
Does anyone have a couple of pounds of #11 or 12 shot they would be willing to part with?
There is one company that sells that size shot, but 10 pounds would last me into the next century. I don't expect to use much, because Rattlesnakes are a protected species in my home state, unless one is preparing to fang somebody!
Rats and other vermin will be the most likely targets.

Why would anyone want to protect rattlesnakes.

Before I escaped the People's Rupublic of N.J. they had actually begun stocking rattle snakes in the hills in the NW part of the state.
