I have a run of the mill pressure , the one with a 5hp motor. Can this be gravity fed? Or does it need water pressure going to it the keep from ruining the pump ? I need to do some washing away from water supply and was gonna use a tote tank.

Thanks

Dave

Look at the manual for your washer. I did a google fu and some owners say their washers require minimum of 20 psi on the inlet.

My buddy has a side business washing machinery at jobsites. He uses three totes plumbed together and a steam cleaner. Works fine. He was planning on getting a small electric pump to run to the pressure washer but it wasn't needed.

A tote tank should work. The pump should have a bit of suction.

Ok. Thanks.

It's an older model. The make and model is worn off.

I
Was wondering if the pump would have a suction or not.
