are these .458 or .451?
I am thinking of going to lead thi season.

Probably neither and close to both. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Seriously, muzzleloader calibers are generally land to land dimension whereas centerfire is groove to groove. My guess would be the CVA 45 bore would be close to .450 on the lands, close to .460 on the grooves. They won't be constant from one to the next unless you happen to get lucky.

Seriously, slip in a .452" first and see how tightly it fits (or not tightly).
