Is $2495. a fair price to pay for a 1952 mfg Mod 70 Super grade Winchester in better than 95% condition?? Thanx.

It depends on caliber. If it's in .458 WM, then that's an excellent price. If it's .375, that's about right. Any other caliber, and I think it's an inflated price.

That price is a "collectors" price driven up by demand and if the calibers are not as mentioned above or even less common by excessive markup. <br> <br>I let things like that go but a well healed collector with the desire to build a collection might make an offer. <br> <br>Make sure it's original also. I was offered a super grade floor plate for $60. If I put that on a M70 with a black forend tip...........................

It is a 375 H&H . I think if we are doing the collector route, a box should come too even if more xpensive. My thought is maybe 2000-2200 is closer. Believe I'll wait and see what transpires. Thanx to all who replied.

That's high. I've seen ones in that condition for about 70% of the price you quoted. Redneck
