All,
Working on a kimber hunter stock. Having trouble getting the paint to adhere to the abs plastic.

Have sanded, wiped down with both alcohol and asatone. No stick...

Do I need to spray it with a etching primer?

Thanks

Rustolem paint and primer in one. Had good luck with it on multiple other
Stocks including Remington Tupperware stocks.

I use Krylon Fusion. It's formulated for use on plastics, PCV, and resins.

Krylon also has a special primer for plastic (adhesion promoter?) that helps the paint grab.
I used it on some plastic decoys to good effect.

Or, go to your local auto parts store and get some of the duplicolor plastic adhesion promoter. It is a clear spray, so it wasn't affect whatever you want to put over it.

Thanks for the info. I'll give the duplicolor a whirl
