Just saw this on their site, new release at IWA trade show just today/yesterday.
6x zoom range, FL glass, Lotutec, ASV, Illumination.
Looks like a nice scope, if it's priced right. Anyone have any more info? I might grab one when they become available. 2-12x50 with ASV would be nice on the old 06'.

By the looks of the pricing, it has me a bit disappointed.
Here in Australia, you can often get non-illum Victory HT scopes for about $100 more than this MSRP on sale.
I guess we'll have to wait until they hit shelves to see what they are really going to cost.

This one will get renamed within the next 6 months when Leupold dukes it out with them over trademark confusion with the VX6.

Well, I know Zeiss model series naming is confusing but you should not mix Conquest HD5 to other Conquests at all. First one is basically made in Japan for US markets and others in Germany for European style hunting. Totally different optics etc.

I prefer the first gen Conquest over the second gen. Optics to me are as good or better, mechanically even, eye relief even and the first gen are lighter...

My one complaint with the HD5 is the eye relief. I hope this new one has friendlier eye relief.

Still prefer a 42mm to 50mm objective. The Victory 2.5-10x42 is a fantastic scope, brighter than necessary and compact enough for good cheek weld.
I see nothing from Zeiss that trumps it.
I would like to see a 2-12x42 victory personally. I am certain I am not alone.

The (old) 42mm version is hard to whoop.
