Let's keep it to guns and ammo. This is for you, not necessarily others. You can have a reason and tell it or not. Maybe you don't like it just 'coz. I'll start by saying that I'm a traditionalist and don't care for much of the new stuff. I'm not saying that it's not just as good or marginally better, I just don't care for it. I'll give you two examples. I love my 7x57. I don't want a 7-08, but I recommend them all the time to people looking for a deer rifle. Secondly I just can't use plastic tipped bullet in my 7x57. It just doesn't seem right. I'm also like that with my 30-06, although I do use them sometimes. It just doesn't seem right in a classic caliber/rifle to use a bullet with a plastic nose. I see nothing wrong with using them in my 280. OK Here goes! 1. Plastic tips in classics. Just 'coz, tradition 2. Short & short-short magnums. just 'coz, tradition 3. Too small or too large calibers used on whitetails 3a. Magnums where they're not needed. I went on a doe hunt several years ago and the shots were at feeders about 75yds from the stand. I found a 300 RUM EMPTY brass. Amazing! Just 'coz 4. Mono bullets, I just can't like them even though MD says they're ok and I hold his opinion in the highest esteem. I think it's the tradition thing. Just 'coz, tradition Captdavid
"It's not how hard you hit 'em, it's where you hit 'em." The 30-06 will, with the right bullet, successfully take any game animal in North America up to 300yds.

50mm+ objectives. I don't plan on taking a shot at the moon anytime soon, so why the Hubble with the extra high rings?
Idiots on ATVs during hunting season.

synthetic stocks on any gun. Stocks should be wood and the prettier the better.
Baiting for deer. Sitting in a heated blind looking over a pile of bait isn't hunting.
Paying $20.00 for a Doe tag, I do it several times a season though.
Youth deer seasons, multiple buck tags for the same state.

Jerkoff hunters and shooters that leave trash wherever they camp and shoot. It's all litter but leaving a bunch of shotgun shells laying around gets me more than most
She never made it past the bedroom door, what was she aiming for...? She's gone shootin..

1 I will shoot plastics out of anything. 2 Short mags are ok, but I already have 7Rmag and 300 win 3 Caliber should be adequate for the game, not perfect shot dependant. 3a Too big may be foolish, but harmless. 4 Partitions have never left me down. Cup and core's kill most of my deer, and do it well. P.S. I don't need fancy bullets to make little guns perform, see #3 above.

When I was a kid, another kid at school that I hated had a 257 Robert's. I hated his gun too. I never did warm up to the cartridge after that.

A brand new rifle that takes tons of work to get a group less than two inches.
Just bought a new Ruger #1 that the fore end screw wouldn't even tighten. It would just sit there and turn. Fore end was loose. The barrel channel had a big gap on one side and was touching on the other. If your quality control is going to let that kind of garbage out, might as well close up shop as far as I'm concerned.

Old f*cks that can't shoot who think they need a .30-06 to kill a 100 lb deer and everybody else does too.

I have a very similar problem with the 25-06 and .270 because of some braggarts around here. They are always talking schit about their hunting prowess, but I happen to know too many true stories about how they hunt. Nothing wrong with either cartridge except Me listening to them too much for too long. miles
Look out for number 1, don't step in number 2.
