Meopta Meopro line is one of the best deals out there. Very nice optics.

How are they in terms of holding zero, tracking, and overall dependability?

I've got a couple and haven't had any issues. I have a 3-9 on a30-06 that has about 400 rounds through it will no issues.

I have the 4.5-14×44 with turrets and have used it to make many 6-900yd hits. I think optically they are very good and I never had a problem with rtz.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

I have the meostar r1 3-12x56 and i really like it. Mounted on a Tikka 270wsm with probably 100 + rounds through it and hunted with for 3 seasons now. I hunt with it from everything from ground blinds to tree climbers to ladder stands to box stands and it has had its fair share of being bumped around and it never loses zero.
