I just received my belated Christmas present to myself. I have always owned Remington, Winchester and Ruger and thought I would try something different for a change. Below are pics of my new Sako 75 Stainless Synthetic in .260 Rem. I plan on shooting Nosler 120gr BTs with RP cases and CCI BR2 primers. Can anyone recommend a load for this setup?

I can tell you that my gunsmith's daughter who happens to work
for Leupold uses that rifle to win World Championship's in MS.

Good choice,

760 happens to be my favorite powder for 120 BT's. It's good for
3,000 fps and bughole's

Nicely done, I love mine in 7-08. You'll be pleasantly surprised methinks........I had the bolt bead blasted to match the receiver and then had Kampfeld flute it.........

I've no experience with WW cases for this cartridge, but I have gotten excellent results from R-P cases. Nosler recommends a max. of 47 grains of Re-19 in R-P cases under their 120 BalTip and 125 Partition as an accuracy load, and it does work well. Either major flavor of 4350 will work very well too. Work these up to about 2900 fps and you'll be cooking with gas. The CCIs will light any of this stuff just fine.

You will really like the 260 cal. I have had one for 4 yrs. now and really love it. I shoot 100 gr. Nosler BT 's in mine and Varget powder and it really shoots good .
That is one Beautiful Rifle , I have 3 sako's , 17,rem, 22-250 and 243 . two are almost 40 yrs. old and would not take for them. great action's good luck with yours

I dont think WW makes brass in this calibre, I have had great results from H4350 and CCI primers with RP brass.

Yup, you're right. I had a brain fart on the WW cases. I knew RP was the only maker (other than soon to be Nosler). I tend to use WW cases for everything else. Let me correct myself by stating I'll be using WW cases. I went ahead and ordered a Redding tapered button just in case I get a wild hair to neck up WW .243 cases. Just not crazy about the donut issue everyone has spoken of.

The website says 7 3/4 lbs. no matter what the caliber (not likely). I was just curious what yours weighed?

I have not weighed it yet but UPS shipped it as a shipping weight of 7 lbs in the box. Not sure if it was weighed.

Thanks. I've got several older Sakos. Nice quality but I prefer not to beat them up. I would like to take a look at this one.
