I have an unfired cavalry 20ga with choke tubes and 26 inch vent rib barrels. as you can see it has wood figure unlike ANY you have seen in this model. light as a feather. it shoots 3 inch also. not a mark on it. thanks for looking ship on your dime jim $449[Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image][img]http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/s541/oldeindian/P3150019_zpsyijdu5i0.jpg[/img]

This is the same exact shotgun as the Savage/Stevens 555 O/U's made in Turkey by KOFFS. I am a quail guide and have the 20ga and couldn't be happier with it. This gun looks and functions as well as more well-known up-grade shotguns costing three to four times as much. I've read that there were some early 555 issues with cosmetic flaws but that there were eliminated within the first few months (this was 4-5 years ago). I've never read about nor experienced any mechanical malfunctions. The ATI is assembled in SC but is virtually the same. The ATI model that Oldeindian has listed is identical to my Stevens 555.

Stevens specifications (I assume that ATI's are the same) are listed below.

Weight:
6 pounds (12 gauge)
5.5 pounds (20/28 gauge and .410)

Barrel Length:
28 inches (12 gauge)
26 inches (20/28 gauge and .410)

Length of Pull (all gauges): 14 1⁄8 inches

Safety: MANUAL

Chamber: in 20 ga, shoots both 2 3/4" & 3"

It has extractors, which are pretty much what most shooters want these days rather than chasing their empties all over the place.

It uses the Beretta Mobile-choke type tubes. The OEM tubes in mine all printed slightly tighter than expected patterns with 7.5's, 8's, and 9's but all were very uniform. You can get both flush and extended tubes from Carlson if you want to fine-tune your patterns.

I've had mine now for three years and probably have 500+ rounds through it with no problems. If you are NOT a clay target shooter, my only advice is to make sure you can get used to a manual safety as opposed to the automatic safeties in most hunting shotguns.

That's about the best review I could put together "ad hoc" sitting at the breakfast table. Hope it helps you make an 'informed' decision.
