Had a suspicion that these were coming. IT was just a matter of time.

It is nice to see them using 30mm tubes, but what lame reticle choices.

Only 3 models? Don't see anything there that would make me choose one of those over a VX-3i or VX-6HD. Although the 2-10x42 will be nice I bet.

Wish that 3-15 was offered with a 42 or 44 mm objective.

Ask and you shall receive, albeit in a non-illuminated version.

VX-5HD 3-15x44

I'd bet that a 4-20 and/or 5-25 is in the works or on its way.

I would really like to know how they compare with the VX-6 4-24X52 in low light.

"Every year, more hunters are going beyond their comfort zone to take on ever bigger adventures," said Tim Lesser, vice president of product development for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. "The VX-5HD is designed and built to help these hunters expand their hunts from bigger game to more challenging areas. If you can dream it, the VX-5HD can hunt it."

Spot on... crazy

No kidding. I'm a fan of Leupold but that's a lot over the top.

That one looks pretty sweet.

I'd be on a CDS 5-25 for a varmint gun at those price points (I expect street prices to be $600-$800) like white on rice on a paper plate with a glass of milk in a snowstorm.

Agreed on the lame reticles.

Can't see why 30mm is needed with only two revs on the erector.

Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

I like the 29 MOA reticle choice. I wish Zeiss made their HD5 3-15 with ZS, Turrets, and a Christmas tree. I only see turrets or a tree and it looks like their tree is calibrated. I want either MOA or MIL to a tree so I have the option. I like Lotutec, is Leupold offering a hydrophobic coating? I talked about the Lotutec technology with a colleague who is top of his field in concentrator optics design. I still don't fully understand how it doesn't scatter light to some extent but have seen how bright Zeiss lenses are.

Wished they'd get off the CDS boat with every GD thing, and put some real target knobs on.....
