Hi fellas. I'm having a 280 AI done and will be using the 160gr accubonds for hunting. I was thinking of having the boat tail junction at the bottom of the neck and lands touching. Thoughts?

That will work. With hunting bullets I usually start them .002 off the lands except for some VLDs. I don't like the bullets jammed or engraved for hunting use, too easy to get one stuck.

Mine is seated for 175 Matchkings so has a slight freebore with lighter bullets. Works fine though. Barnes and others like a big jump.

That would be my plan so long as the loaded cartridge fit within the mag/mag box

I did some dummies up today. Ogive is at 2.935" and coal 2.500. Building on a 700 la so fits the mag box fine. See how fast I can get them shooting once it's built.
