I just shot my Remington 722 in 300 Savage that I posted a photo of earlier. With factory Remington 150 grain it shot a group that measured 1.1 inches. For a rifle that is old enough to be a classic, even if it is too ugly to actually be one, it sure shoots good. it aint ugly at all. that thing is fine

You're not sure why, but you just like her.

This is a very recent "the price is right" rifle purchase. I don't run into rifles of this age in our area very often but couldn't pass this one up. It is a Remington 722 in 300 Savage. The scope is a Weaver K 2.5 that was taken off of something so long ago that I don't remember what or why. It boresighted with no problems. I'm going to shoot it shortly and hope that long forgotten problems don't come back to haunt me. A useful cartridge, blued steel and real walnut makes a good combination almost every time. Nothing wrong with that rifle!

It really likes Hornady Interlok 150SP driven hard with Varget. Enjoy your 722 300!

Thanks for all the comments guys. MtnBoomer, I like your setup. Mine came with a receiver sight too, but I already have a Remington model 30 set up that way. I just thought I'd put a period scope on one and see how it goes. I'm very satisfied, but checkering would be nice.

"Do muzzle-loaders count?"
That one does. Good to think of someone staking around the Wind River country carrying that thunder stick.

Do muzzle-loaders count? YES!
