Any members from New Zealand? I'm in country and looking for a used rifle for a tahr hunt. Not having much luck so far. Any leads on borrowing or finding a decent used gun is appreciated!

I do have a visitor's firearms license. My internet is spotty but will try and check thread and my PMs.

Plenty of gun shops there. Just about any one will have something that'll work...?

I went to a gun shop yesterday. They weren't as helpful as I expected.

Yes, due to my travel schedule before and after this trip, logistics didn't allow a firearm. With the amount of guns here, and the culture of hunting, most told me it wouldn't be a problem finding one, but I'd take a little extra help.

Won't be in Wellington unfortunately. Already on South Island.

Hunting and fishing nz is on my list to visit when I get a car.

Seen trade me. It looks great but I can't get an account to bid on guns or even contact sellers with a visitor firearms license. You need a resident FAL number to register.
