Hi fellas. I'm having a 280ai built and was going to use the Zeiss conquest I have with the z600 reticle (which lines up nicely with 280ai trajectories) but it's a bit heavy at 15.9oz. I am wondering if you can recommend a scope that's a bit lighter of similar or better quality and warranty. I was looking forward to a new Leupold but the vx5 is a 30mm tube and heavy. I would also consider a custome turret elevation dial set for my hunting load so that's also an option over a ballistic reticle. A duplex and a turret like Leupold does is a good way to go.
Thanks for your thoughts.

The only thing I can think of under 16 ounces would be a Leupold, and while it's a viable choice, they aren't better than a Conquest.

BTW - The optics are not far enough behind (if any) to matter....

Swaro Z3 with the BRH reticle is an option. Light weight and plenty of magnification.

I like the glass but not the 10 year warranty nor the -30 temperature limit.

If you can find a Kahles AH 3-9x42 with TDS I think they weigh around 12-13 oz.
