If you good folks haven't seen, Henry this spring will be shipping out a lever gun in .327 Federal that I have to buy. I will be shooting 32 H&R Mags out of it since I own three RUGER revolvers in that caliber. Here's my question that I am clueless on...how much accuracy will be lost shooting the 1/8" shorter 32 H&R Magnum? I am sure some of you must have .357 levers that you have shot 38spl through...
Thanks,
Jim

I have never shot my .357 Rossi with 38's at any great distance, so I didn't see a difference.

I can't answer your question..........yet, as I'm interested in a .327 rifle myself.
Please let us know how that Henry works out when you get it.

I don't know how the CF Henry handles cartridges during feeding. My Marlin .32 H&R Mag 1894 will not feed .32 S&W Long cartridges. I cannot feed cartridges shorter than 1.330". I have read posts from others who say they are able to feed cartridges 1.300" oal. The Marlin throat is very large with mine and several others able to chamber bullets .315" diameter without engraving the nose. I hope Henry has done their homework on this rifle. I intend to buy one but I will be a lot happier if it will shoot .314" diameter bullets without leading from chamber to muzzle. There are several ways to get around this but the Marlin rifle should have a smaller diameter throat.

I shoot 38 special in both my Marlin 357's with no obvious accuracy loss. one is a microgroove and the other is ballard rifled. I like you have been waiting for the 327 rifle for a long time and have one on order. I hope it likes the 32H&R as I have a lot of that brass, but if not I can load my 327 brass to a lower pressure and do the same thing.
