My daughter got a nice bird last Saturday during the youth opener but I did not video the kill.
This morning was our regular season opener and I sat with my 19 YO son. Fun hunt. This Tom only gobbled 1x on the roost and we never heard from him again. I called every so often and never got a response until a crow flew over at 7:20. The Tom gave us another gobble at about 60 yards and revealed his position. Lights, camera, action........

YEP! Good call Ronny. He tried telling me his red dot on the FF III was going on/off. He had to wait for it to go on while the Tom was in position to shoot. At least that gave me more video. Ha.
Funny thing is we could not duplicate the problem. He had it on auto mode and I am wondering if that was an issue. Seems to work just fine now. My original FF is just on/off.

Yep. My FF II has not given me any issues but take note. If you have to change the battery you better re pattern your gun. The battery in my son's FF III is accessable topside so the unit does not come off the mount.
