Thanks for taking the time to share the story you wrote, I very much enjoyed it.

We've got two rifles with the eagle perched on the world proof marks and I've often wondered what trail has led them to the interior of BC.

Thank you. I have two WWII Mausers - one rebarreled to 7x57, one rebarreled with a new Israeli surplus 8x57. Both have Timney triggers and have Leupold scopes. They are my go-to deer rifles.
