Just tie down the left wing and then get a bunch of guys to hang on the right wing; it'll straighten out real nice.

Pic is from local radio station's webpage. No telling who that is.
Didn't seem that breezy last night, but the airport has a bit of fetch.

I knew a guy who walked away from 4 ... "landings." The last one left the plane upside down. I'm not riding with him.

it's actually a common performance modification, look on the wing tips of the jet the next time you fly commercial

also makes landing in the brush a bit easier as you can slide into a narrower space

Knew a guy who found his plane in that kind of condition after a mean wind storm one night out by Lake Clark. After using the Sat phone to inquire as to chopper fees to have it slung and flown to Anchorage he decided to straighten her out as best as possible. He used his trusty cordless Dewalt and some 2X lumber from his wall tent floor along with a handful of self tappers to fashion a "splint". Made it back in fine shape but I would have elected to walk had I been there!

I also spent a good bit of seat time behind the guy who duct taped his Cub back together and flew her in. That plane is apparently irresistible to bears as the last time he flew me and the wife out in it a little black bear chewed on the tail section that night, no major damage but still.
