A buddy of mine has been showing me the ropes to reloading and I have decided to start buying my own equipment.
I have decided on a RCBS Chargemaster for my powder measure and scale, but am having trouble deciding on the traditional Combo vs the new Lite versions. There is only a $30 difference between the two, so cost really isn't going to play in the equation this time.
I like the simplicity of the new Lite version, but am not sure if I should just go with the tried-and-true model.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I know nothing about the new version but if there are differences in the electronics I'd go with tried and true.
As far as simplicity, the old version is not very complicated.

The old style two piece unit allows you to take the actual scale off to use in weighing other things. Things to weigh, possibly bullets, complete cartridges, shot loads for setting shotgun measures, etc.
Generally a little more versatile, worth it? Up to you.
No fear, no doubt, all in, balls out.

Thanks in advance. Everywhere I checked there is $100 difference, I have the original for the past 10? years and have been happy with it BUT if I was buying to day I would go with the new smaller unit and save the $100. Biggest difference I see is the one older one (what I have) allows you to store charges in memory while the new one is set and go. No recall....

I just contacted RCBS in regards to a Chargemaster I had for roughly 4 years. I had a grain of powder fall down the hole and asked to have it serviced or repaired?
The tech said they don't repair or service the unit but stated I could use can air to blow the powder out? Not very impressed with the answer but hopefully it will correct the problem? If the machine is damaged, now I'm wondering WTF? Guess will see what happens?
