I have thought about this myself, order in all the ones I am interested in, pick one, and return the rest. The only thing that stops me, is one time I returned a scope (non mounted) and the place did not refund me but gave me a "store credit". That would have been fine, except that place did not carry the scope I decided to go with.

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Always ask the store first. I've asked the guys at EuroOptic and they seem to have no problem with you returning one to try another or just refunding your CC. I would however always use a CC so you could dispute anything and hopefully have at least one ally in the transaction.

I've used SWFA before and been told I would be charged a 10% restocking fee for returns but not on exchanges. EuroOptic told me they had no restocking fee.
