Just read that on another forum. The guy got an email from Federal today stating they would not be loading for the 325WSM for 07'. Man thats really gonna hurt the buying power and future of the 325WSM. Though dont much matter for those that roll their own.

That's a bad deal, I talked to a sales at Nosler and thay said thay sell out of 8mm bullets every month and will be uping production just to keep up with the new demand for 8mm bullets.. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Funny, as some of us said when the 325 was announced it wouldn't find commercial success.

I dont reload so I sold the one I had last winter when ammo availability was scarce. Think it coulda done better if Federal had offered some better loads for it. The Accubond, BST,and PP just aint much to choose from in a caliber thats supposed to compete with the 338WM. Some TSX's, A-Frames,Partitions or TBBC's would have opened some doors.

The problem is not enough folks were buying them. When it comes to over 30 calibers, folks will choose a 338 win or 375 H&H and thats about it. It'll be curious to see how the 375 Ruger fares.

If the M70 comes back chambered in the 325 WSM and for that matter in the rest of them that will be enough along with WW ammo to keep them going.
All guns should be locked up when not in use!

They havent had any problems selling the 300 Wizzum that dont trump the 300WM either, but they have been selling like hot cakes. I do believe the 325 would have done a lot better with a supportive and enticing supply of quality ammo, the concept is a good one to fill the niche that some might have.

Just one more reason to handload as well as stock up on your brass, fellas!

I didn't need Stick's advice to stock up on 7mmWSM brass, I could figure that out on my own, but I really hope Federal doesn't stop producing the Fusion load for 7mmWSM, it shoots SO good in my rifle!
Talk is cheap. It takes money to buy whiskey.

You never can tell for sure about the antics of any of the firearm related manufacturers. Federal dropped their Whelen loading last year, and in less than a year, they have reintroduced this offering. Good luck to anyone trying to understand the business practices of any of these guys. CP.

If your not willing to roll your own ammo, than it's a risky step when buying any of the new "wonder" calibers. I socked away a lot of 325WSM brass at the outset and have only bought maybe four? boxes of factory fodder for mine. Mainly because I shoot on a budget and the price of factory 325WSM has been rather steep, for me. Accuracy has been very impressive over my last run of handloads, and I hope to experiment a bit further this summer. Terminal performance on game is impressive, and so far overkill on whitetails, if such a thing exists. Seemed about perfect on caribou, and hope to hit an elk with it next fall.
Reguards, Rob
