LA area is not the place to come to unless as said before you will be making 150k and up any less and you won't even be able to buy a home. Public schools are rated 49th in the nation. Arinie is a good governor but this state has along way to go. Northern CA is better then southern CA to live in. Down here it is a rat race. One of the best things about CA fishing and hunting year round.. But tags cost an arm & a leg..Ca is all about the money. Go with MO or Ohio.

You might want to put location ahead of finding a job that meets you background. If you find a job doing what you're experienced doing, you'll be back in the rat race in a less than desireable location.
Several states are far more desireable than the ones you have been looking at, like Alaska, Utah, South Dakota and Idaho, and Vermont ain't too shabby either.

I like MI, if I have a choice I will stay here. I do beleive AK would be one of my next choices. I need to be where we have whitetails and good big water fishing. MI does offer both. For the two weeks I hunt other big game spieces I can drive there.

Carboloy is trying to find me something. Talked with a Regional Manager today and he said he thinks he can come up with something. Chances are I won't have to move. Maybe get all my senoirity back and have the 3 weeks vacation I need to hunt this fall.
The company I will be departing has really expressed interest in me taking over a area that covers IA, MO and KS. Not bad since I like whitetails so much. Not fair to the family though just to move for a whitetail. Its not like I would have to go cold turkey.
