I recently gor hold of this. An FWB 601 running target version, the differences to the normal match rifle are obvious and plenty. The scope is interesting too, a Leupold M8 with factory installed Premier booster (enhances magnification to 8X) with a custom reticule that has adjustable dots for lead. I'd like any comments and estimates about its worth, if you please.
RT is a dead game, but the 600 series is very desirable. Depends on the quality of the refinish, but if it is good 800 bucks for the rifle. The scope has very little desirability except for the rarity. The booster is a kiss of death because no one will repair it. So it is a disposable, or a huge PIA when it pukes.
Thank you, now I know the ballpark of the value. I probably will keep this even though it's not the most practical gun for anything else than RT, as I have a soft spot for anything rare. And it's a pleasure to shoot of course and actually quite fun to learn how to lift the rifle, aqcuire the target and hit it as quickly as possible. Not being a serious competitor, I like to do something different from time to time.
Now I just hope the scope won't need repairing. It was a PITA already when the last of the Premiers were still under warranty, Leupold washed their hands and Premier was dead.
